2003–2013 · Project origins

Riverstone Resources has operated in Burkina Faso since 2003. In 2007, True Gold Mining, formerly Riverstone Resources Inc., acquired the Goulagou and Rounga properties from Golden Star Resources Ltd, adding 487 km² to its holdings. In 2012, Riverstone Resources merged with Blue Gold Inc., and the new entity became True Gold Mining in February 2013.

2016 Year

2016 · Endeavour Mining

In April 2016, Endeavour Mining took control of True Gold Mining and continued developing the Karma gold project.

2022 Year

March 2022 · Karma takeover

In March 2022, Néré Mining acquired the Karma gold mine from Endeavour Mining. The takeover by a Burkinabe consortium marked a new stage in the project's local roots.

Today Year

Today · Stronger local roots

Since the takeover, Néré Mining has continued its activities at Karma with a particular focus on the social, economic and cultural development of Yatenga Province and the Northern Region.
